Vince Young will get the starting nod again this week VS The Patriots, as Mike Vick continues to suffer from his broken ribs.

So far this season the Eagles seem like GENIUSES for giving Vick a new 100 million dollar contract.

If I was a betting man, and I am, I’d bet that Jahvid Best is done. I mean his career. He just can’t seem to get away from the injury bug, and was just put on the IR list for the remainder of the season for a concussion he got back in game 6. He’s had 2 major concussions this year, and had one in college (see video below) that damn near killed him. The Lions went ahead and drafted him anyways, and so far it just hasn’t worked out. I’d be surprised if he bounces back and is ever a starter in the league next season. I have a feeling the Lions cut him and he washes out. He may sign somewhere as a third down back, but his dreams of a long career in the NFL are all probably done. I really like Best, and wish him the best, and wish I could see him at his best on the football field, but he needs to realize his health is much more important than becoming a vegetable on the field.

Ndamukong Suh has been whining all season about how he’s NOT a dirty player. Well, I think tonight he proved the himself wrong. He embarrassed himself on national TV by repeatedly slamming the head of Evan Dietrich-Smith into the ground and then kicking him as he got off the turf. He immediately was ejected and after the game, had the gall to say that the ejection was unwarranted, and refused to apologize. He even said that he didn’t kick at Evan Dietrich-Smith, he was just trying to remove himself from the situation. yeah, trying telling that to the commissioner Roger Goodell, Suh. You will be fined heavily and hopefully suspended for a few games.

Just reported that Kyle Orton was claimed off of waivers by the Kansas
City Chiefs. This is pretty interesting, because in my opinion Orton is better than Cassell and if Orton comes in and performs well, who knows what could happen next season.

Really bad news for the buffalo bills as Fred Jackson has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a broken fibula.

Here is a blast from the past. 3 years ago Marhsawn Lynch went beast Mode on the New Orleans Saints to beat them in the playoffs, being the only team in NFL history to win a playoff game with a 7-9 record.

Being a realist, I’d have to say that The Texan’s season is all but over. The Texans offically placed  Matt Schaub on IR which leaves their season is serious jeopardy.  Lots of people thought the Texans had a real shot this season, but if you are a Texans fan you have to be a bit concerned when the best option you could get as a QB through free agency is  Kellen Clemens. It looks like they didn’t even consider a play for Kyle Orton.

In a bit of a surprising move, the Denver Broncos just waived Kyle Orton. I wonder if John Elway did this to save face, or maybe it’s time for Brady Quinn? Either way the smart money says he signs with Chicago, his former team, one that he’d be familiar with. And with Jay Cutler out for the season, they desperately need something to keep the team afloat, because I just don’t think Caleb Hanie is going to get the Bears deep into the playoffs.
